Telling Stories Through Sound

Born in Austria’s scenic Zillertal Valley, DJ Hoody began his musical journey at age nine with the clarinet and later the saxophone before transitioning to electronic music in 1999. Just five months later, he secured his first residency at the iconic Jimmy’s Bar/Club in Innsbruck, delivering sophisticated Nu-Jazz, Lounge, and Jazz-House sets exclusively on vinyl.

In 2004, nightlife pioneer Didi Daum invited him to become the resident DJ at the legendary Bawa Glam Club. From its inception until 2013, Hoody shaped the club’s musical identity, curating soundtracks for major events like Pink & White and Decadence, helping establish Bawa as a key player in Europe’s house music scene.

Since 2007, he has held a long-term residency at the award-winning Kristallhütte in Zillertal, located 2,147 meters above sea level and repeatedly voted Europe’s best ski lodge. His signature sets, spanning chillout, deep house, and techno—performed on the panoramic open-air terrace—have earned him international acclaim. He also curated and mixed volumes 3 through 7 of the acclaimed Alpine Grooves compilation series for Kristallhütte, as well as the Chalet Beats compilations (Volumes 3 to 5) for Maierl Alm.

Since 2009, Ibiza has become his second musical home. Hoody has performed regularly at premier venues such as Nassau Beach Club, Cala Bassa Beach Club, Jockey Club, Tanit Beach Club, Coco Beach Club, and Hostal La Savina on Formentera. He has also featured on Ibiza Global Radio and on Balearica Musicuntil their closure in 2024.
